ABOUT IGNITE POTENTIAL ABA

Meet Regina Symons, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA

I created Ignite Potential ABA to provide thoughtful, individualized support for children, families, and schools. Whether you're looking to better understand your child's development, strengthen executive functioning skills, address behavioral challenges, or simply explore strategies to support growth, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence.

Grounded in the principles of behavior analysis and shaped by more than 20 years of experience, my work is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I partner with families, educators, and children of all learning profiles to build meaningful skills that support success at home, in school, and in the community.

Not sure where to start? That's okay. Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation about your child, your concerns, and what support might be most helpful.

My Work and Approach

Meaningful progress begins with understanding why something is difficult. Whether a child is struggling with organization, emotional regulation, flexibility, independence, social situations, or daily routines, my approach is to look beyond the behavior itself and identify the skills that will make lasting success possible.

Every child has a unique pattern of strengths and challenges, and every family has different goals. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all strategies, I work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to understand each child's needs and develop practical, individualized recommendations that can be used in everyday life. My goal is not simply to solve today's challenges, but to build the skills, confidence, and independence that help children thrive at home, in school, and beyond.

What Guides My Work

Individualized Support
Every child has a different profile of
strengths, barriers, and support needs. My goal is to understand those differences clearly so that recommendations are meaningful, practical, and tailored to the child in front of me.

Collaboration Across Settings
Children make the most meaningful progress when the adults supporting them are working from a shared understanding of what the child needs. I value collaboration with parents, educators, and other providers whenever it is helpful.

Meaningful Assessment
Assessment should do more than describe challenges. It should help identify the skills that need to be taught, the supports that may be needed, and the next steps that will make the biggest difference in daily life.
